Megan is a Registered Psychologist (R.Psych. BC # 2196). Since 2007, she has worked in a wide variety of
settings with clients across the lifespan, with a focus on adults and older adolescents.
What you can expect from Megan is what drew her to a career in psychology – the unique combination of science
and practice. Megan is passionate about supporting her clients in reaching their goals in a safe, compassionate,
and supportive environment. She focuses on cognitive-behavioural therapy and draws upon a range of other
evidence-based approaches, including mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical
behaviour therapy (DBT) skills.
She takes an open and collaborative approach to foster strong working relationships with her clients. Meeting
clients where they are at is Megan’s priority. This could mean problem-solving through a tough decision that’s
weighing on your mind, discussing strategies for managing anxiety at work, or developing more effective ways to
set boundaries or communicate needs in your relationships.
Megan divides her time between private practice and an academic setting. She is the Director of the Clinical
Psychology Centre at Simon Fraser University, the training clinic for the SFU clinical psychology graduate
program, where she supervises MA and PhD trainees in assessment and therapy.
When looking for support for mental health issues, Megan is appreciative of the importance of a great fit between yourself and the clinician that you choose to support you in your journey towards mental wellness. If you have questions about Megan’s approach or if our caring admin team can be of help in your clinician choice, we welcome a call or email to our office at any time.
