Assessing Clinician

Christina specializes in providing psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments to individuals across the lifespan, ranging from children to adults. Those seeking comprehensive, developmentally informed, and strengths-based assessments will find Christina to be an excellent match. Christina’s approach is warm, collaborative, and fun. She works alongside her clients to understand their unique strengths and areas of challenge, and uses this information to provide evidence-based and actionable recommendations to support their social, emotional, and academic development. Moreover, she places a strong emphasis on diversity and strives to create a safe and ethical environment for all clients. Christina’s ultimate goal is for her clients to feel empowered and validated by the end of the assessment journey.  

Families and individuals may work with Christina to answer a range of questions, such as:  

  • What are the specific strengths and areas of challenge for me/my child?
  • Do I/my child meet diagnostic criteria for ADHD, a learning disorder, or an intellectual disability?
  • Is there evidence of giftedness in me/my child?
  • How does my/my child’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning compare to peers?
  • What strategies can be implemented at home, school, or work to support my/my child’s development?
  • Is there anything about how my child learns, remembers information, or thinks that will help me parent them more effectively?
  • Is there anything about how I learn or remember that will help me be more successful in my career or relationships?
  • How can my personal strengths be leveraged for optimal success and effectiveness?
  • Which post-secondary programs or career paths align best with my goals and abilities?
  • What treatments and/or resources could I/my child seek out to create a more fulfilling and meaningful life? 

Services

  • Psychometry for psychoeducational assessments to identify ADHD, learning disorders, intellectual disabilities, etc. 
  • Psychometry for psychodiagnostic assessments to identify anxiety, depression, trauma, personality concerns, and other mental health concerns. 

Christina received a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Psychology from McGill University in 2018 and a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria (UVic) in 2020. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at UVic. In her role at VPC, Christina provides psychometrician services in collaboration with Registered Psychologists.
